Introducing SIE Central’s after-school
program focused on fostering literacy skill
development and growth.

Courses

  • Novel Study

    Students will explore global cultures
    through texts, expanding their
    vocabulary and familiarity with key
    phrases. The course is structured to
    parallel an American literature class,
    facilitating a deeper understanding of
    culture and history within texts,
    enhancing critical thinking skills, and
    improving their ability to express ideas
    effectively.

  • Speech & Debate

    Students will enhance their
    communication skills by structuring
    their ideas during discussions and
    responding to peers' viewpoints. This
    process will help them sharpen their
    critical thinking and persuasive
    presentation abilities while fostering
    respect and understanding for diverse
    opinions.

  • Writing

    Students will develop the ability
    to compose sophisticated
    and effective written works.
    They will learn to organize their
    opinions and ideas for each topic,
    express them clearly,
    and develop logical
    and persuasive writing skills.

  • Grammar

    Students will enhance their ability to
    express themselves accurately and
    effectively by gaining a deep
    understanding of the grammatical
    structure of English. Through practical
    application of grammar in various
    contexts, students will strengthen their
    language skills for real-life
    communication.
